Here is another rumor in the rumor mill that Verizon and Google have partnered up to bring you the first Android tablet.

Albeit, a rumor, it does surely make sense.  I mean how long does Apple think that Verizon will wait to bring a tablet to their lineup?  And Verizon is also famous for strategically testing and launching products at the right time.  What better time than Black Friday!  Lets stay tuned for this to hit the news waves.

Today Verizon Wireless, Motorola, Google and Adobe took the stage at a press conference in New York City to announced the new Droid X, Verizon’s latest in its series of Android devices. Looks like Verizon and Motorola are coming clean with the Droid X a little earlier than planned — it just appeared on the official Droid page, complete with confirmation of that 4.3-inch screen size. Verizon and Google are working on an Android-powered tablet device that will compete with the iPad, Verizon Wireless’ CEO confirmed to the Wall Street Journal Wednesday.

Lowell McAdam told the newspaper that the companies are working together on the project, but did not confirm a timetable for a release or any other specific details about the device such as a manufacturer.

The two companies have recently collaborated on several popular mobile devices, including the Droid smartphone.
